Zhejiang Gongshang University

Zhejiang Gongshang University, founded in 1911, is located in picturesque city-Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province. Whose predecessor is Hangzhou middle commercial school, it is the pioneer of business education in Zhejiang Province and one of the earliest specialized commercial schools in China. For more than a hundred years, it has been adhering to the tradition of business education, especially since 1998, when it changed from an institution directly subordinated to the Ministry of Commerce to "co-constructed by the central government and the local government, focusing on local management", the university adheres to the road of characteristic school, with Economics and Management as the main subjects, and the coordinated development of Law, Engineering and other disciplines. In 2015, the university was identified as a university jointly established by Zhejiang Provincial People's government, Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of education. In 2017, the university was evaluated as a key construction university in Zhejiang Province, and the disciplines of Statistics and Business Administration were selected into the list of advantageous and characteristic disciplines in Zhejiang Province. ZJSU is divided into Xiasha Campus, Jiaogong Road Campus and Tonglu Campus (Zhejiang Gongshang University Hangzhou College of Commerce)

In the list of the national assessment of the fourth round of the discipline revealed by the Ministry of Education degree and postgraduate education development center, Statistics is selected into class A discipline. Besides, there are totally six disciplines selected into the class B, including Business Administration, Applied Economics, Foreign Language and Literature, Food Science and Engineering, Law, Computer Science and Technology. The evaluation results rank in the forefront of key universities in Zhejiang Province.

In 2016, the university was approved as one of the first batch of construction units of “Internationalized Characteristic University in Zhejiang Province”. Distributed in 17 major schools and 45 majors, there are more than 1,400 international students studying in the campus from 100 countries and regions. The university has signed inter-university cooperation agreements with more than 100 universities and research institutions in more than 50 countries, including the United States, Britain, Germany, France, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Korea.
